Misty Hideout is a hilltop resort in the forested hills of Kakkadampoyil, about 40 km from Kozhikode. Green A-frame villas sit on the slope, their wide railed terraces and tall glass walls facing layered hills that often wear mist. You can choose an A-frame, a single-bedroom villa or a roomy three-bedroom villa for groups and families, each with patios or balconies and flat-screen satellite TVs. Days start with complimentary breakfast and can end around a campfire or barbecue. An infinity pool faces the hills, and some villas add a private hot tub or a kitchen. Valanthode Lake and Falls is a 25-minute walk, PVR Natural Park about 2 km away, and a sunrise trek up Kurishumala can be booked for an extra charge. Check-in runs 3 pm to 11 pm, check-out 8 am to 1 pm. It suits couples, friends and families who want cool, quiet hills.
