Clouds End Resort sits on a hilltop at Vallanthodu, Kakkadampoyil, on the Kozhikode and Malappuram border. Its cottages stand on stilts among tall trees, and mist drifts across the green ridges below. Brick walls, timber floors and wide glass let the hills into every room, and the infinity pool looks out over the valley. You stay in a tree house, an A-frame or one of the stilted cottages, each with a queen bed, air conditioning, Wi-Fi, a spot for tea or coffee and a balcony facing the mountains.
